Frequently asked questions
Where is the official record of a company's legal representative?
Business registration details, including the legal representative, are published on the National Business Registration Portal; if you need a version with evidential value, ask the business registration authority to provide the information. This page is compiled from public registration data and shows the update date so readers can check for themselves.
Why might the result differ from the current legal representative?
The company may have registered a change of legal representative after this page was last updated. The update date is the date the system recorded the information, not the date the change was registered. Before signing a contract or accepting a power of attorney, compare with the latest business registration certificate and the official source.
Can I find all companies a person is named in?
You can search by full name to see companies whose legal representative is recorded under that name. The list is based only on matching names: two people with the same name may be entirely different people, so a name alone is not enough to conclude who is named for which company. To be sure, check each company's registration documents.
Is the legal representative the owner of the company?
Not necessarily. The legal representative acts on behalf of the company in transactions and with government agencies; owners, members and shareholders are those who contribute capital. One person may hold both roles, but the representative may also be a hired director with no stake.
The information is wrong or I want it removed — what do I do?
Send a request through the contact page with the tax code and what needs correcting. The company's underlying record only changes when the company registers a change with the business registration authority; this page will then update and keep a record of the correction.
